The Trust Index is the same layer described in the Global Trust Index guide: votes roll up into tiers (Observation → Soft → Confirmed, plus Flagged when needed). It is not the same product as Info Noise Index (sources and claims), and it is not the same as the local text noise analyzer (wording-only, in your browser).
Extension: GriGsi Sentinel
The browser extension can show an in-page GriGsi Sentinel panel on some sites so you can confirm or continue. That flow is about browsing safety — it is not the same as the trust score from Check Index, and it is not controlled by Info Noise Index “trusted sources”.
The extension uses a built-in quiet / exception list (hundreds of common hostnames) so everyday sites do not interrupt you on every navigation; other sites may show Sentinel by design. A server-published list can replace the built-in list when available.
